Flooded People UK
Flooded People UK are non profit organisation. I have read their website, I have read all of their Facebook posts, i’ve been receiving their emails, I still have no idea what they actually do. Well I can, they do what I do, forensically examine already publicly available information.
Here is what I have found out about them:
- They are a non profit organisation
- They employ 7 staff members
- They have a Facebook page with 1.4k followers and 290 posts
- The Facebook page has very little interaction
- Simon Harris is in charge of the Facebook page
- They have a Facebook group with only 369 members
- Simon Harris is a moderator on the group
- It’s a private group but they have about 2 posts a day on there.
The Facebook page is utterly ridiculous, I was going to try and keep this blog post looking at least a little professional and not just point and laugh at things, but then I went over to the page and well, that failed.
What an utter load of rubbish. What is that? Where are these people saying that all flooding is caused by blocked drains? Oh wait, those people don’t exist.
The big question that is on nobody’s lips is all about how did Flooded People UK come to be? These screenshots from Facebook go someway to answering the question that nobody asked:
So three of them were members of the National Flood Forum but the money ran out so they jumped to Flooded People UK. What does/did the National Flood Forum do? Let’s find out together.

To get help from Flooded People UK you need to be in the private Facebook group, so be one of the 369 who are a member of that group. Now this is what really irritates me about them. Here is what it says when you are trying to join the group:

Let’s start with the highlighted part. Known right wing blog owner Simon Harris is not only a moderator of the group, he is the one in charge of the Facebook page. I’d laugh if it wasn’t so disgusting. Proof that what i’m saying is true:
I don’t care if it was 9 years ago, Simon has never apologised for a whole blog, and Facebook group, full of right wing news stories and articles written to incite the right wing into carrying on being, well being right wing. To this day he is on friendly terms, and publicly and privately communicating with a Reform politician.

Given how many followers the page has and the amount of interactions it still has for the racist content it posts, I wouldn’t be surprised if Simon was still in charge of the page and getting money for doing so. It’s clear from the evidence that Simon set up that group as stated on his YourBrexit blog, given what I know from his past behaviours i’d feel confident saying he is still in charge of the EU – I voted LEAVE Facebook page and is posting racist content on the daily. If you look at those who the page followers there are a lot of Essex centric people/pages that the page is following.
One in particular piqued my interest, this one:
Given that the I voted leave page is apparently a national page and they only follow 48 other pages it piqued my interest given that Simon moderates the Rayleigh Community Group on Facebook. It wouldn’t shock me if Simon was actively promoting other right wing pages and blogs to make money.
In my opinion I believe that Simon is still in control of the EU – I voted Leave Facebook page, not only is he posting racist content, but he is profiting from that.
I’m sure that Flooded People UK do not need it pointed out to them that someone who is actively supporting Reform UK is not really someone that gives their project a good look due to Reform UK’s environmental policies.
I believe Simon is playing both sides, the left and the right, and profiting from both. His relaunched Twitter career hasn’t taken off due to the lack of any decent moderation on that platform, he has people calling him out all over the place so nobody is falling for his crap over there.

As per usual for Simon’s paid social media projects, there are 2 interactions and no comments. Weeks and weeks go past with no new members joining. I strongly suspect that most of the members of the groups that Simon has brought in have been through him asking people to contact him via his other pages. Given that he asks them to message him personally, it is clear that Simon Harris/Man Behaving Dadly and Flooded People UK are enmeshed.

I love learning new things, if I ever get abducted the police would have to sift through about eleventy billion random google searches if they searched my phone that I make to find out information on random things I see or hear. Flooded People UK are giving me nothing, it’s just lame memes.
With Flooded People UK I have no idea if they are doing a good job or not, their membership is limited to the 369 people on their private Facebook group.
Why am I being so harsh on Flooded People UK? The same reason why many will be. They have a right wing blogger as their hype man.
I’m now almost certain that Simon Harris is who is running, and writing posts on the EU – I voted Leave page. I was initially going to write that it’s a bit suspicious that the right wing writer of the Leave page hasn’t publicly stated that they are nothing to do with Simon Harris given his alleged left wing politics. Especially as given that Simon said in his interview with the Guardian that it wasn’t him posting on YourBrexit, so the public will know that Simon/YourBrexit/EU-IVotedLeave are linked. You’d expect someone who is so vehemently right wing as the person who runs the I Voted Leave page would have publicly denounced Simon and all he stands for.
Then I found this, pure gold smoking gun, Simon is clearly the owner and writer on EU – I Voted Leave:

I’ve said this many times before, when I post I try and imagine myself in court standing in front of a judge defending what i’ve posted. I’d feel confident standing in a courtroom and giving the evidence i’ve posted here as to why Simon Harris runs the far right page EU – I Voted Leave, and posts right wing and racist content. That’s even before you go deep down a linguistics deep dive and notice the similarities in all the posts.
